Stairs are tedious and complicated. I had the easy job: I personally cut each riser and tread--3 feet wide. We had a little mix up with the math and I had to additionally cut the risers skinnier. My husband did a great job cutting out each stair shape in the wood that holds the stairs up (sorry, I don't know the technical name). Together we glued and nailed the stairs on.

Looking good!
That's amazing!
I know it's a lot of very hard work and so I should probably be happy that I'm not building a house, but I certainly envy the experience/knowledge you're gaining and the satisfaction you'll feel when it's all done!!!
I enjoy the pictures and updates!
Cool! It is starting to look like a real house. What is next? Is it just luck that you are working on your house right now? Do you go straight through until yours is done? Or do you get to a certain point on each house? How do you feel like your timing is coming along?
I think that last comment was posted by Erin (she must have hacked my account)!
