Russell's battle wounds
Russell--tired, dirty, and beat upSo Russell did it--he graduated from SWAT school. After enduring 5 days of grueling training and conditioning, he was granted his "Hell Week 2008" completion t-shirt as a symbol of his accomplishment. I don't know how he did it all--crawling through rivers, doing pushups in the gas chamber (also with pepper spray), and running miles up-hill, all with 60 lbs (my estimate may be way off) of gear. Yuck! There were parts he did enjoy, though--the tactics and the comraderie. It seems like the coolest thing they did was simulate a school shooting situation at a local high school with 300 or so local volunteers. During one exercise he got "shot" in the side, so I am definitely glad none of this was real! His group did get praises for doing the best job in training compared to groups from previous years. Congratulations Russell!
Notice all of his massive bruises. We never took pictures of his blisters. Ouch!

haha the before and after pictures are quite amazing. Well im happy for ya russ thats a great thing! I imagine its alot better than rainbow six vegas.

Wow! Glad to know he'd do all that to rescue me if necessary.
I hardly recognize him after the grueling week. Congrats though. What an accomplishment.
