Mystery

What do people do with the space above their kitchen cabinets? It looks so plain and dull, but I also do not want to make it look cluttery, either. I bought a few vases that coordinated perfectly with my color scheme for a few bucks each at Thai Pan and threw them above my fridge. But now what?

Oh, and what about plant shelves? I only have ideas for Christmas decorations--garland and statues of Santa, maybe?

You should come see what I have above mine. Plants, different infused oils, tins, things like that.

Some kind of viney stuff?

I like the Christmas ideas. It might be fun to do some colored glass balls.

After being on this earth for so long, I have decided I will never again use silk plant/viney things. They catch dust and you just can't really get them clean.

I like what you've done. Carry on that theme but collect interesting things that group together. Don't over-do it though because just because you can dust it doesn't mean you are going to want to dust a million things every week. It will get greasy too being in the kitchen so get things that can take a little cleaner.

I am into the reddish brown blackish things like Fleur de lys statues, big plates on a stand, colored bottles, etc.
